What does it mean to be and become, to be a part of history as well as to become an individual? The answer lies in a trove of family photographs where every image depicts the desire for self making. Yet when the self strives, its singular efforts create a collective consciousness that is considered a demographic. How does perception construct this entity? What afflicts identity with categorization? Part inquiry and part homage US Being Epic is a reflection on the affect human effort has upon time.
